Another young player with some serious game is Ukrainian guard Sergei Gladyr, one of the more unknown international early-entrant draft prospects going into this camp. Gladyr averaged 15 points per game in the Ukrainian first division this year for a reason, as he’s clearly an extremely skilled shooting guard regardless of his age. Gladyr is one of the best shooters at this entire camp, looking absolutely terrific coming off screens and elevating off the ground sharply with picture perfect mechanics. Beyond that, he’s also one of the best athletes you’ll find here, being extremely quick, with a great first step and excellent leaping ability. While his ball-handling skills are improvable, and he’s prone to making bad decisions from time to time, he seems to have a good demeanor on the floor (always a concern with players from his country) and clearly has major potential to continue to develop. He had a team high 18 points in the evening’s all-star game.

According to a source close to Rubio, the $6.6 million buyout of the Spanish point guard's contract with his current team, DKV Joventut, will likely be reduced today or tomorrow to an amount where "he knows he'll be able to make the payments," the source said. The resolution of that element of the Rubio equation will, in effect, clear a major obstacle for teams that are considering drafting him Thursday but have concerns about when he would join their team. And that, of course, includes the Kings.

я посмотрел видео всех первой 20-ки. Черт, драфт скореров. Наилучшее впечатление оствил Дженкинс, который реально умеет разыгрывать, Колловей, Де РоЗан, Эванс(он не чистый пг, но 50/50), все они забивалы. А Рубио даже незнаю, не верю я что из него вырастет такой игрок как рекламируют, тот-же Дженингс как по мне смотритсья ку да лучше.

В отличие от Дженингса, Рубио играет против больших дядек уже 3-4 года. И выглядит много лучше американца.

Хотя , и для меня выбор Рикки далеко не однозначен. Ему явно не хватает мускулатуры, не до конца отточенный бросок и в целом, какая-то хрупкость чувствуется. С другой стороны. таких талантов давно не было. Пожалуй только Сабонис начинал так рано. Надеюсь, что Сакраменто сумеет набраться терпения и выбрав Рубио, ему дадут время созреть .

Меня Дженингс вообще не впечатлил, ИМХО техники ему не хватает для разыгрывающего.

Касательно Дженнингса: парень больше полагается на физику, использует только левую руку, не видел у него хорошего броска со средней, степ-бэк броска, свечек а-ля Паркер... Я всё это к тому, что сыроват он ещё для NBA

Chad Ford: The Sacramento Kings finally got their wish on Monday … Ricky Rubio in their gym.

Unfortunately for Rubio and the Kings, he was playing one-on-none after going a month without picking up a basketball. The results shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone. Several sources surrounding the Kings said Rubio didn't blow anyone away.

Of course he didn't. Rubio is a pass-first point guard who makes everyone around him better in a five-on-five game. In a one-on-none I wouldn't expect him to be great. He's not going to shoot the lights out. He's not going to put up highlight-reel dunks. He's just not that type of player.

But they did get to see him live. They got his measurements (6-foot-5 in shoes with a 6-foot-7 wingspan). They got to check out his body language and English skills.

Most importantly, the Kings got word that Rubio was making progress on a deal with his club in Spain, DKV Joventut, that will lower his buyout to roughly $4 million. When you factor in that Rubio will be allowed to make his payments over several years, there is no longer a huge financial impediment for Rubio to come to the draft.

The question on everyone's mind right now? What will the Kings do? The answer? It depends.

First there's a chance Rubio might not be there at No. 4.
